Why Was My Order Flagged for Verification?

What to do if you receive a verification email, or haven't been charged for your order

Shopify's fraud analysis tools may flag an order for verification, depending on multiple factors. Some actions that might result in verification include:

  • Using a VPN or proxy while ordering

  • Sending the order to a different address than the billing address

  • Missing or incorrect contact information

You won't be charged until we verify the order, so if you noticed you haven't been charged, this may be why.
